SHAPING YOUR IDEAS
OUR INTANGIBLE HERITAGE.
Metal processing is as old as man. An art identifying each development stage, marking the status and level of thought, technology and production capacity. Making man the master of his own destiny.
Well aware of this, PFA inherits all the history of Proferall, active in aluminium manufacturing since 1962, becoming a modern company; offering top quality products and services thanks to its staff’s highly specialised experience and know
how.
A unique partner to take its clients to levels of excellence when making their products. Starting from aluminium extrusion, managing processes and services, PFA can shape your ideas, creating them exactly in the way you had thought them.
OUR PROJECTION IN THE PRESENT.
To be projected into the future you need to know your starting point. Ours is a solid human and technical experience base that has grown over the years, and is still growing.

AT TIMES YOU HAVE TO BEND OVER BACKWARDS – AT OTHERS EVEN 5 TIMES.
5 is our perfect number.
5, like the fingers on the able hands of who knows how to shape matter. 5 like the continents we export our products to.
5 like the elements of nature when you can add your quintessence. For us this means the ability to manage the 4 elements of our work in the best possible way. Management is our quintessence enabling us to give clients that real added value.
The 4 elements of our work:
Our fifth element. Managing all these processes till the final delivery, thus providing a full service.
To guarantee product and work quality, PFA has always taken great care over improving its production structure in compliance with community standards, obtaining several certifications to prove it.

A technical office and an internal die correction department guarantee the correct manufacturing and maintenance of a vast range of profiles from which to choose the one that best meets your application needs.

We have a vast die selection for drawings profiles and we are always expanding it. The main applications include:
Thanks to our technical know-how and production skills we can provide a deep range of standard profiles in different sizes.
We can manufacture various trims for different means of transports such as trucks, trains and airplanes. We can also provide them as simple extruded products or as ready to use products depending on the client’s needs.
THE SUBTLE ART OF HONING YOUR IDEAS.
We can associate the mechanical cold wire drawing process to the extrusion one, creating very thin profiles and really precise tolerances.

THIS IS HOW A TOP QUALITY PRODUCT IS CREATED.
Machining processes, on any kind of extrusion, have always been one of our strong points. We are good at “looking after” your products after creating them.
We manage the various processes needed to give your idea a shape with extreme precision, optimising times and methods.
To do that, we carry out internally, on both long bars and small pieces, cutting, milling, drilling, countersinking, bevelling, threading, blanking, flattening and bending operations.
Managing a qualified external suppliers network, we can also offer several other process types, like turning, rectifying, assembly, soldering or others added specifically each time.
Cutting: our equipment can cut straight or obliquely
Milling: this cold mechanical process removes shaving.

HERE DETAILS DO NOT GO UNNOTICED.
To give the final touch to the creation of your ideas, we offer various surface finishes, in pieces and bars, depending on the final product application. To mention just some: anodising, painting, sandblasting, brushing, tumble finishing, polishing.
Anodizing is a non spontaneous electro-chemical process, used to increase surface protection. The material goes through a real surface transformation process: the bare metal reacts with the oxygen developed during the electro-deposition process and forms aluminium oxide or alumina. The material layer created is variable (normally measuring 10 µm).
There are two types of anodic oxidation: thin and hard. Thin anodizing creates a variable layer going from 5 to 20 micron; the semi-hard or hard one creates a variable layer of between 20 and 30 micron. That layer can also have an aesthetic purpose, as it can be oxidized in different colours.
If you should want the anodised surface to shine, a polishing process can be added.

Extruded items can be powder or liquid varnished in a vast range of colours. Besides expanding finish varieties, this type of process ensures good resistance to corrosion, wear and UV rays.
This mechanical process creates a “scratched” effect on the surface, with more or less marked lines following the brush lines. This gives the surface a homogeneous (especially if brushing is fine), matt look and makes it slightly rough to the touch.
Sandblasting is a mechanical process which erodes the surface part of the profile. This is done using a jet or air and sand or a special grain. The end effect is a clean, homogeneous, matt surface.
Tumble finishing is used to remove substrata residue like filaments mechanically. The pieces are rolled and knocked about in a barrel (tumble) which can contain abrasive material shaped to speed up the operation. The process can also be done immersed in a liquid to prevent chemical attacks.
This mechanical or manual process polishes the surface of an object. It can normally precede the anodic polishing process.

THE QUINTESSENCE OF OUR SERVICE.
PFA wants to be the partner that gives your ideas an aluminium shape. PFA can do that managing all the different processing stages starting from aluminium extrusion.
PFA manages the entire production chain, mainly in-house. When needed, it turns to specialised partners to simplify your management complexity.
With this same goal, PFA manages and handles your products till delivery, all over the world. It guarantees efficient, safe transport and provides customised packaging. And that’s not all. The company can manage stocks of finished or semi-finished product as agreed with clients. It organises product flows in the different processing steps, both internal and external, to optimise delivery times.
